Government has approved the ambitious PM-eBUS Sewa to enhance and augment the City Bus Operations in August, 2023.
Key features include:
- 10,000 e-Buses will be procured/deployed across India
- 169 cities with a population of over 3 Lakhs will be covered
- Implementation through PPP format
- Project size of INR 57,600 Crores, of which support of INR 20,000 Crores will be from Central Government.
- Approximately, 45-55000 direct employment generation.
- Scheme shall be for a period of 10 year
